Default Jeff @ Import Builder's H22a.....Real or Fake???

Came across this dyno chart the other day.....basically it is:
H23 VTEC
Type-S Pistons
SMSP Header
2.5 Crush Bent Exhaust
3 Angle Valve Job (Portflow)
IB Modified Stock H22a Intake Manifold
IB "Super Duper" Intake

234 Whp and 178 ft-lbs

Firstly, the dyno rpm numbers are weird for when he points out 7700 rpm peak hp, the bottom says 10.2.....

I have never seen many numbers like this with h22s with built bottom and top ends with good cams....nevermind with just type s pistons and his modded IM.....
I don't question that the SMSP is holding up its end of the hp though....

anyone with some thoughts or maybe knows what the deal is??

if its true im getting one of those IMs and intakes

that looks like a b-series. even with cams the h22 won't make power that high, much less will the h-series trannies even shift at that rpm.

Is anybody here using that Super Duper intake? I went to their site and the intake section is down.

how bout the gayest tq curve evar.... but yea

those numbers on the bottom are TIME in seconds, NOT rpms

thats also the gayest dyno chart ever, time instead of rpm throws the shape of the curves off alot

I shift at 8K all day long if I want to...
But I wouldn't just do it with regular Honda tranny oil...
But yea H22 trannies can handle that high or higher RPMs you just need to know how to shift right because you are playing with some crazy screw ups with a miss shift in that high of RPM range

That is correct, we had a discussion about this dyno a couple of years ago on po. In reference to the title, what does this dyno have to do with an H22a?

you can make power that high simply with some cams, and you can shift at 8500 all day long if you wanted, given your tranny aint in bad shape.

haha.....sorry about the title.....but its basically an h22a....

its .1 liter bigger.....

im thinking the tq curve looks like *** just because of the scaling of the tq axis.....its such a small range of numbers, so each small change is really amplified.....

so i guess anthony thinks its fake....

It's an old dyno, and it's a shitty dyno. So it made 230 whp, so what. It has absolutely no torque below 5100 rpm. It's a dog.

According to Jeff's notes, it was already at 153 lb-ft at 2700 and from the graph it looks like his arrow should be going to the 2.1 second mark versus the .5 mark. The time scale is confusing but at least we know what the hp and torque are at 5250 rpms.

Here's a graph of Corey's old engine (h2) and his new engine (H1). The H1 engine has Type S pistons, Jun cams, an Euro Accord IM, no p/s, no balance shafts and a very mildly ported head. This dyno seems to have a tendency to read a tad low for the average run of the mill dyno jet.

Yah, that's my bad, I keep thinking the numbers on the right are the torque scale.
