Shifting Trouble with Hasport Linkage
My swapped CRX is jumping out of 1st, 3rd and 5th.
It does it when I'm hard on the throttle and then I back off and get back on, like through a turn or in traffic.
I was busy with the wiring when my buddy bolted the linkage in, so I didn't see it. Does anyone know if Hasport linkage is adjustable?
If not what else would you guess that it is?
I'm thinking it might be the rear mount is loose or something letting the engine rock and that pulls the shifter out of gear.

It is not adjustable. Mine was hitting my exhaust so I had to take a cutoff wheel to a tab that is on the linkage and that solved my rattling problems. I would make sure the mounts are tight and just give the linkage a look over underneath the car.
I was feeling around and it feels like my shifter is practically touching the shift console. The boot seems like it is filling the only void. Maybe the shifter is bent forward causing it to be knocked out of gear by the shift console.
Is anyone else's shifter really close to the console while in 1st, 3rd or 5th?

You should get under your car and take a look at your shift linkage and how well of a job he did on it. That's what I would do. It's gets crammed under there and people tend to speed up the process under tight situations, if you know what I mean.

and he could have installed the shifter 180 degrees off, try removing the bolt on the bottom and spinning the shifter the other way, my car was like that when i got it, didn't pop out of gear, but my knuckles almost hit the ashtray.
