does anyone know if the tsx head is the same as the k20a2?

 

The head is almost the same. Slightly different valvetrain components but all the regular A2 stuff bolts on. The biggest problem is the coolant passage outlet in the head that is integrated into the TSX intake manifold. This isnt present on the regular A2 head and is not part of the A2 intake manifold. It is easier just to use the regular A2 head but yes it is possible to use the TSX head. Is it worth the effort for just the head swap....probably not.

 

It will cost you around $40 to get it welded
