alrighty. i am wantin to turbo my new rex. it is a 89 si with 225,000 miles.(yeah i knw, still runs stronge) i want to either rebuild the stock a6 or go with a zc so i do not have to change tranny's and stuff. what do u guys think would be best. and which turbo kit and how much boost u think can be ran on a stock motor.
thanks guys
thanks guys
boost the a6 now and tune it and it'll be reliable and then when or if you blow it up (i probably would cause id get boost happy) you can rebuild with forged iternals. and so a hmt kit it can be done for way cheaper than buying one.

the thing is i am goin to have to rebuild the a6 b/c it has 225000 miles on it,it will not hold up to an boost right now i wouldnt think, but it does run strong with no leaks or smoke. but i would want to rebuild it before i boosted it, but i want a dohc. a friend offerd to sell me his ls with 137,000 run hard for 300 the whole swap but it is hydro tranny, and i would have to rebuild the motor. what u guys think.
thanks

D16 rods can hold around 200whp on a good tune reliably.
