Bright Fog Lights?
so i searched and didnt come up with anything useful so i will pose this question.
where can i find some pretty bright fog lights. i want ones that will actually make a difference when i turn them on. my friend has some that look bright but they dont actually light up the road that much.
so if yous guys could help me out by pointing me in the right direction as far as a company or a specific model that would be awesome.
thanx

True fog lights should NOT be bright. In foggy conditions the light will reflect off of the fog and make visability worse. good ones do not put out a whole lot of light and only illuminate right in front of the car, low and wide.
I'm guessing you want driving lights.
PIAA are good but crazy overpriced IMHO. Hella is another good brand. They also make a less expensive line called Optilux that is decent. try and only buy lights that give you information on what the beam pattern is. otherwise it's most likely garbage.

Just a general note - If the fog lights look bright when the car is facing you either:
A) Get your *** up out of the middle of the road
B) They are angled too far up to do any good anyway
C) They're not really fog lights, but ****-anybody-off-in-front-of-you lights.

This isn't completely correct. Good fog lamps can and should indeed be bright in terms of actual light output. The important part, as you mentioned, is the beam pattern itself. Proper fog lamps should have a low, wide pattern with a distinct cut-off and as little upward scatter and glare as possible.
