obd-1 conversion in crx problems...help!!!!
ok so i have a 90 crx that was converted to obd-1. i just dropped my b16 in myself, were talking jacked tha car up and sliding the motor underneath and all....by myself!! I wired everything up and for some reason vtec doesnt engage, and my battery keeps dying. (i didnt do the wire conversion, and the car was running fine with the other motor before i got the car, i purchased a rolling chassis.) any help or pictures would be much appreciated..
What was used to convert to OBD-1? If you have an OBD-1 B16, then you are going to need the OBD-1 ECU, OBD-1 dizz and the conversion harness from http://www.Rywire.com or http://www.JKOBD.com
If you are still having troubles after that, then hit them up, or post back on here what you did to convert and we can try and help you out.
I converted my CRX Si to OBD1, so I have a feel for what ur going through - WAYYYY frustrating at times but in the end its simple.........
basically wire the dizzy color for color, plug the OBD1 ECU in, plug the harness in, cut the resistor wires at the box, and solder them together, make sure you have the right 02 sensor and also the VTEC wiring at the solenoid and the pressure switch and you should be good. I dont think I left anything out so that should be it. If anyone else has anything to add, please post to help this guy out.
