HELP!! Omnipower ADJ. Lower Collar doesn't fit!!!

the sleeve on one of the Front Adj. Lower Collar doesn't fit on my front EK fork.. its a little bit smaller than the other one.. which I have no problem with.. right now I'm waiting on the place where I bought the kit from.. but I for now I need to drive my car.. ASAP... my old front shocks are busted.. and I don't want to take time to install them again since I've installed this already..
What should I do?... My idea was to add a piece of thin metal inbetween the shock and fork then tighten it so it would fit properly.. not allowing the whole tire/rotor assembly to drop down whenever the tire is off the ground... Fork won't even stay on .. no matter if I tightened it so much that there isn't any gap left where the bolt is at.....

I bought this from RobearRacing recently... and I'm not saying anything bad about them.. I've been contacting them via email.. since their phone lines are down due to moving.. they haven't replied back to me yet..

man, that would be risky. just be careful on railroad tracks and speed bumbs.
eh, i dunno man, that could be dangerous. i imagine you are thinking about putting the metal on the side opposite of the bolt. that would cause the indentation of the shock to be huggin the bolt, but the side to side play is what is worrying me. i don't know

thats what my idea was basically.. I was also thinking that since I would tighten the bolt real tight.. that it would serve as a clamp..

also, if you think about it, there is not much stress at all that is trying to pull the shock tower out of the fork. if there was, then honda would have designed the fork to actually bolt to the shock towar. the biggest threat I can think of is railroad tracks. because the weight shifts upwards sometimes when the car bounces after the tracks.

tight. I also have omni full coils. great for the turns, not so great for the bumps, lol. I figured out that the 530F is not the problem for the harsh ride. its the 380R that makes it harsh
seriously... gosh..
I've bought the Sports for my car.. I'm used to feeling all the bumps.. since I've been driving on worn out shocks for the longest...

I'm about ready to put Omni sports in my car and I already think it rides like a plank. Fluid is coming out of atleast one front shock (just noticed a day or so ago), does that constitute a "busted shock" like you're talking about? It looks like a slow leak.
^^^^^^^ dude.. when did you purchase it.. cuz those OMNIPOWER coilovers have a 2 yr warranty on them.. I spoke with David Smith from omnipower himself and told me that... go on their website.. and send them a message... let them know.. something.. call them.. yanno....
Sounds like you just got one of the wrong collars (it happens). No biggie, like you said Dave at OMNI will take care of you. He is a great guy and very helpful.
