95' Accord Engine Delema...Which To Use or Build?
I have a 95' Honda Accord EX with a F22B1 (vtec) engine. I want to get a different engine this summer or what I really want to do is build a monster of an engine. I do have decently deep pockets...so money isn't that much of an issue. I'm trying to decide on buying an h22, or building my own "hybrid" engine. I've heard of people getting about 400-600hp in an engine they put in their accords, which is what I want to do. Also, I plan on boosting whatever engine I get. What do you guys recommend that I do?
you have decent pockets so you drive an accord? makes sence
get the d16, rare but highly tunable you could probably get 700hp with a t3 turbo

personally, i would go with a d15. the smaller displacement lets you rev higher, and you could conceivably top 750 hp.
your right, and with a shorter stroke you gain more torque... i dont know why i didn't think of that, but with that much torque your going to have to go with an automatic because no clutch could ever handle that much power
whichever engine you decide on going with, DO NOT waste money on internals. this would be a waste of money since honda blocks are iron, making them ideal for boosting. also, you are going to want to remove your rev limiter, as the higher-revving d15 makes lots of its torque at high rpm. good luck and happy boosting!
