Question: What would cause coolant leak from this spot? (PIC inside)
93 del sol si, location where it is leaking is circled in yellow. The leak is coming from inside, not leaking down the outside.
It is a verey slow leak, just drips, but I would still like to fix it.
Thank you for your input

I can tell you that it IS your heater core and it is cracked and leaking. Just do not turn your heat on till you get it fixed. If you can do it yourself I would highly suggest it. Heater core replacement is long and costly.

I'm 99% sure that is your A/C runoff. There *should* be a tube there if it is. Check to make sure the tube isn't missing or crammed up inside of the metal there.

If it's coolent coming out of there IT IS NOT YOUR A/C RUNOFF! If it was a/c runoff it would be WATER! Most likely your heater core is leaking down your firewall inside and leaking out the bottom. There is no way that Honda would be able to design an A/C runoff that let extra A/C chemicals to drain on the road like that. Did you know that if your A/C is leaking and you are fully aware of it, you can be fined for improper disposal of dangerous chemicals? Because of this that is why they stopped manufacturing R-12 refrigerant. That is why '92 and '93 civics have to either pay alot to get the R-12(much harder to get and more expensive) or convert to R-134A refrigerant which usually run people like $300+. I use to work for a shop and we fixed A/C's, so I have seen people get fined before and that includes the shop I use to work at. If it is your A/C get it checked out by a shop. If it drips on the ground and it does not appear to be wanter, DONT TOUCH IT! Is your car a 92 or 93 Civic? If so and you are still running R-12 refrigerant, leave it alone! If you touch it, it can freeze your skin, freeze your eye's, so it can freeze whatever it contacts. It is heavier than air and can suffocate you and becomes poisonous gas when it comes in contact with an open flame. Just to list a few warnings. R-12 is some scary **** so just watch yourself.

No **** coolant wouldn't come from their but people quite often don't check the actual fluid coming out and just assume it's a coolant leak. asshat

Well then tell him to check if it's really coolant. Dumb ****
. Don't tell people that it's water when you don't even know that. If he say's it's coolant then most likely it's coolant. I am pretty sure your 99% retarded

And I never said it was water either. I said I was pretty sure, not positive.
Clarification (for the handicapped)
dmbmalaka,
Make sure that it is in fact coolant as many people tend to see the dripping and assume that it is coolant when in fact it's just water. I am pretty sure (though not positive) that this is water run off as a result of the use of the A/C system. If in fact it is water run off there will be a hose (or is on every car I have looked at) that the water trickles down from. If for some reason while you're down there (whether the liquid is coolant or not) you should check to make sure that the hose isn't being obstructed in any kind of way.
I hope that is a bigger help to you, but be careful because I am 99% retarded.

lol, I've seen these kind of problems on my friend's nissan sentra. it turned out to be the heater core... it looked like he pee'd on his carpet

1%. Well, look at it this way. For every 100 times you do or say something ****'in dumb (like your question) and/or wrong, there is one time they are actually correct

I had to read that 5 times...and it still doesn't make any sense
Does that make me 1% retarded or 99% retarded....asshat
