i was searching for the answer to this question and they all pretain to 2.5 and 3'' flow capabilties and hp ranges, but what is the hp flow that a 2.25'' exhaust can handle with out problems

i got a z6 with the greddy kit and im putting 160whp now on 5psi , but if i raise it to 8psi will the 2.25 be to restrictive....im looking for 200whp

with a turbo, no exhaust is best, so any exhaust you put on is 'restrictive.' For 200 hp turbo motor, you should have AT LEAST a 2.5" exhaust. If your going to upgrade, you may as well go to a 3" so wont have to replace it again.

 

Been runnin a 2.25 hks exhaust for almost 2 years on my boosted LS. It definately is restricting the air flow but hasn't given me any problems yet coming from 2.5dp to a 2.25 exhaust . I know that it's a bottle neck but 254 whp & 249tq is plenty for me .

 

i made 200whp on my stock cat and 2.25 mugen exhaust

3" is optimal though

thats an insane amount of tq - mods? psi?
