quick question about vtec points

Default quick question about vtec points

what's the stock vtec engagement point for a type r motor? i don't have one but my friend is chipping his ecu and needs to know what's the stock point and what would be the best point to modify it to. thanks.

As for the best point to set it at, that varies by engine and mods. There is no way anyone hear can tell you.

Run a full EMS or VAFC with a stock/chipped ecu so it can be tuned for the car.
