Default ?? Quaife Quick-Ratio Rack & Pinion Kits??

Just wondering if anyone has had any history with one .. IE.. Ups Downs..
Problems.. Issues with install etc etc..

"The quick ratio rack and pinion gear set is perhaps the most underrated performance part around. The Quaife rack and pinion gears simply replace the existing pieces inside your stock steering rack housing. More rapid steering response is felt with an average of 25 percent reduction in ratio, resulting in fewer turns lock-to-lock. This translates into much quicker steering and turn in at the cost of a slight increase in effort. A must for autocross, drifting, and track work."

There was a thread about this a few weeks back in road racing and auto cross. Try there.

I was asking a bunch of questions in that thread, but I'm still unsure of the results. One person ("Jaker")said they got the CRX kit and that made the "lock to lock" about 2.4 turns (down from 3.5 or 4). That is NOT what the product description advertises on Quaifes website.

The same thing went for the EG civic. Somebody ("Clemsonhatch") installed the kit and said he ended up with 3.2 turns lock to lock.

Here is the page of that thread I'm talking about:
