Default 4.7 Final Drive with a B20?

Alright.

I did a search for this but couldn't find anything on it. I've a Top Fuel Built b20 engine and i was wondering can i put in a 4.7 or do i have to keep the 4.4?

Thanks

What tranny are you running? I've got a 2.0L with a USDM ITR tranny with an ATS 4.9 FD. I love it!

Its a JDM tranny 96 spec. 4.9?! I'd say it fairly flys! What does your motor rev out too? Was told to not go above 8k or 8.5k revs.

The 96 JDM ITR tranny is a 4.4 FD. On a stock B20 bottom end I would not rev past 8k. I have a resleeved closed deck block (B18C5 bored to 85mm) and I rev to 9800rpms. It is not my daily driver so it is not driven much.

To answer your original question, yes you can put a 4.7FD in that tranny. You could also go with an ATS 4.9FD.
