If it is a 2000+ ITR ECU (and I guess it would have to be because the earlier one will not fit a 1999/2000 Si without a harness), it should work. (Car will run very rich apparently, though.)

Are you sure the immobilizer was disabled properly?

Try asking on clubsi.com. A lot of people there have done this successfully.

I ran a 98 ITR ECU on my 99 Civic SiR and it ran great, no problems at all with the appropriate harness adapter. With the 2000 I have to assume that they did not remove the immobilizer feature properly, that is why it won't start, either someone did the repair improperly or they bullpoo pooed you that it was removed, it definitely wasn't, no other reason why the ecu wouldn't work.

The reason you are not hearing the fuel pump priming when you turn the key to the on position is due to the fact that the '00-'01 ITR ECU has the fuel pump relay wire in a different position than your '99-'00 Civic.

You need to move the wire at A16 to A15 on ECU plug A.

Also, if the immobilizer is not removed from the ITR ECU the car will NOT start unless you have all of the other immobilizer components hooked up correctly.

ok, just spoke to the guy who took the immobilizer out and he also said compensated for the A16, and A15. so we tried it again, the car still won't turn over, and now another thing we now notice was the radiator fan turns on for no reason, but car has been sitting for about two hours and the motor is cold

Well, from reading your question it sounded like the starter motor wasn't turning the engine over, so if you pupoo poo and it starts well at least that means the ecu is doing something. Was just wildly stabbing in the dark to try and help you, sorry if I misunderstood the problem.

Well I have a ? of my own. When I get my car back from the body shop I am putting a ITR in it and a P73 00-01 ECU and with the imobilizer still in will the car turn on or do I have to

A. get a new ignition with a imobilizer
B. or get imobilizer taken off
C. I have heard that with the imobizer still in and with no mods the hok up is fine and it should work fine

What shoul I do I want the least amount of headaques.

thats the ecu i have, just get the immobilizer taken out or get a wiring harness and use another obd2 or ob1 ecu those are the easier ways to do it. and for C. the ecu won't work if the immobilizer is still connected

ok, just went to clubsi posted this same question over there, but they are no help! all they keep on doing is repeating my question for me, and telling me that it has an immobilizer in it that i need to take out, which has already been taken out. people over there like post a answer before reading the damn topic!
