Because I'm only gonna buy $25US worth of goods. After that I wont be using paypal anymore. I'm thinking of just doing a Telegraphic Transfer....
Plus I think International members have more fees and I think they have a minimum amount to be deposited for the account....I'm not sure, I'll have to read it again.

Well im sure its safer then giving a stranger your CC#. Ive never used paypal, but my assumption is theres a way to get your money out of it and get it credited on your credit card, or a check mailed to you. If your worried about the secutiry of paypal, just dont keep any more money in your paypal account then you need to have in there.
also I'm kinda worried about giving my bank account number and my credit card number. I mean thi is the net. Anything could go wrong...or maybe im just paranoid???
if your that paranoid, then you may not want to use your CC at all. Even if your not buying stuff online, your CC number is probably still being sent though the i-net. Im sure lots of companies send info from their physical stores though the i-net to their headquarters, or the CC companies instead of paying for expensive dedicated connections. Hopefully they are using encrypted VPNs, but you never know.

You know what happens when you assume, don't you?
PayPal has all kinds of provisions for keeping your money and not returning it to you. Be warned that Paypal is not a bank and is not FDIC insured. In fact, if you read the Paypal terms of service, you will see that you can't even sue them should you have a legitimate claim. Also, even if you use a credit card with PayPal, and you get ripped off by the seller, YOU are still liable for the full amount. Why? Because the credit card company only sees that you made a transaction with PayPal, and not the third party. Since PayPal didn't do anything wrong, your only recourse for recovering damages is with whatever policies PayPal has in place. Which, by the way, is literally nothing if the seller withdraws his money.
Theres a lot of bad things happening with PayPal. Another sight to check out is http://paypalwarning.com/

i think of paypal as just a fast way to pay money. there is a lot of scamming going around. just be sure who you're giving your money to is legit. it's the same as sending them check/mo..they can capoo poo and you never hear from them. i think most people complain to paypal is because they were the one sending the money. they are just doing the service of sending the money over on your behalf. personally i love using paypal for paying my ebay auctions... but i dont send anything too high if the person i'm paying doesn't have good feedback.
if you send someone an auction payment via western union and they never sent you the item...you're going to complain to western union right?
i've been scammed before..and yes paying thru paypal. i've been scammed by money orders and checks. i file complaints but nothing is really resolved. i am just more weary of who i deal with.
goodl uck!

i've had paypal since the beginning. all i can tell you is...when fraud occurs for a large amount of money... they will try their very best to nerd you over. the only thing you have to watch out for is the other person's account being verified and look out for the confirmed address. other than that...paypal is very convenient
p.s. they're taking great fraud precautions now. dont worry about giving them your cc# / bank acct#

very safe.......just make sure the person you are purchasing from is a verified pay pal member.
