Why is my front sway bar "squeaking"??
If it is an ST bar, it most likely came with poly bushings, which will squeek like hell unless lubricated every so often. Although this requires some disassembly, it's time well spent for this exact reason. I usually do mine twice a year.
I'm not sure what ST (or ES) recommends, but white moly and/or graphite grease applied sloppily with an old paintbrush have both worked well for me in the past, with no visible bushing degradation over time.
Hope that helps,
Jon

yeap
My S/T bar came with white moly. Apply liberally where there is bushing-to-metal contact (especially the inside of the "D" bushing where the bar sits) and there should be no squeaks.
so I need to lube.....yeah, the kit came with lube and I used it on the D bushings...but it didn't say anything about the endlink bushings...and I was thinking about doing it anyways...but didn't cause I wasn't sure!
yeah thanks Karl..."mr. I've installed sway bars before"
LOL
jk
Its definately worth the time to take it slightly apart to fix the squeak....it really makes sense now. THANKS!!!
