I have a older post about my story from buying from a friend and I found 2 guys on stuntlife that have frames for my bike. One of the guys said his frame is good but it has a salvage title. Well if I bought the frame and swapped everything over to it would I have to get it registered in Springfield, IL or could I just take the bike and get new tags and plates for it? And if I did have to go to Springfield would they look at the vin # on the motor? I don't know if hte bank has the bike marked "lost/stolen" I'm trying to look for the easiest/cheapest way to get back to riding again. Any help on how to do that would be great. I would rather find a clean title frame but the guy said $500 and it's mine for the slavage title frame and I seen clean title ones go for $1700+. Way to much for me to spend. If this doesn't make any sense let me know and I'll explain it better.
