Default Running too rich???

So I bought a vafc, and installed it with my buddy, but now at a dead stop I can smell the fuel, more than normal. Is that only because VAFC was installed or is it because the mindless **** who helped me was dickin around with it when I was eating? Anyone have any experience tuning these? help would be appreciated.

Thanks del sizzle, my set up is similar to his:
Intake, DC JDM 4-1, hi flow cat, and 2.5" custom cat back, running the following:
4000 +1%
4500 +1%
4800 +2% (my vtec x-over)
5500 +1%
6000 +2%
7000 +2%
8000 -5%
9000 -6%

And mine is a daily driver. Advice????
Maybe if I can find a shop Ill just go to the dyno, seems thats what everyones solution here is.....

Honestly dude you cant do **** without a wideband. Weither its on a dyno or datalogging with wideband. Either way your not going to know if your running rich or not without that. If you want to do it on your own then go by feel. Whatever makes you happy.

Thats why i said i couldnt tune your car without those.

Is it a pain to put a wideband on? Or would it be better to get rid of the VAFC all together, (apologies for being redundant, just frustrated )
