How is this exclusive for us "preferred patrons"? Sounds like a great event, but don't insult my intelligence by offering this poorly schemed marketing tactic. What is to preclude the general public from calling ticketmaster or going to the event's website to purchase tickets?
nothing, I don't think his intention was to give us a deal but to let us know the word about the event
frankly i didn't know and am glad he spoke up before these passes become sold out

hey dacksauce, peterz has no ties to the event, he was just cutting n pasting info about it. he's a good friend and the father of "ceas" on the board, watch what you say about him...

I'm there.
Can we say, ... H-T meet!
For those already holding tickets .... which section/grandstand .. or whatever?
As George said:
OK, well, if all of NoVA is going to the Grand Prix, let's make sure we all buy the same kind of ticket.

I too rcv'd this "premium member" email and found it quite lacking in detail.
But, considering that the website is 4 months behind schedule and still looks pretty bad, I'm only expecting so much.
While the email states prior to public release, ticketmaster says "Public Sale Now". So whatever. I don't really care as long as I get my SuperPass.
But here's the other problem with NGP and TicketMaster. They have not finished building (designing?) the grandstands yet, so they can't tell you what seat you'll have. Which REALLY SUCKS, because I have to organize tickets for about 10 people, some on SuperPass, others just Sunday. I need to make sure we all sit next to each other, duh.
So far NGP and TicketMaster have not provided me with any answers or solutions.
Such as: What the difference between Rows 1-5 and 6-up? Fence-line, incline, canopy, wtf over.
I really HATE ticketmaster. Bunch of lazy terds.

I recieved a reply to some questions that I sent into NGP. Here yougo:
<--
"I aopologize for the delay. We had some issues to correct from launching the new website on January 28. The track layout is now available on the site at http://www.nationalgrandprix.com
In motorsports the higher the seat the better. The price difference in the row reflects that. Additionally each seat in all rows will have view of a big screen. 3 big screen will placed facing the grandstands.
The best way to ensure that all of your seats are together for Sunday is purchase all seats at once for everyone.
Thanks for your interest"

So there you go. I finally got a hold of everyone in my group, so I should be buying my tickets today.

I'm so ready for this. My friend and I are going to be fricking loaded like the paparrazzi, 2 digitial(still and motion), 1 35mm, 1 VHS, & 1 Hi-8.
I don't know the qty of tickets available but here's what I'm getting
2 SuperPass & 6 Sunday Rsrvrd GrandStand w/Pit Pass.
See you there.

Upsetting, isn't it? I honestly hope that next year they decide to do it in the "right" part of town, down along the river on Rock Creek Parkway and out onto Constitution Avenue.
For what it's worth, the roads aren't in good condition around there, either. I can only hope they do some resurfacing.
