hello, I just picked up an 88 crx HF on sunday and I'm trying to get the interior back to normal as lots of stuff is screwed up. I just bought some new struts for the hatch but they didn't come with the whole ball joint bolt action that I need, so I need to know a good way to separate the ball joints so I can reuse the old ones? thanks!

 

i think i just pulled real hard and they popped off. if you have to, use a screwdriver and a rag for leverage. did you somehow remove the ball joint from the hatch? if so, put it back on, it makes it easier.

ok this is dumb all I'm accomplishing is bending the old strut and bending the metal around the bolt... and then the ***** broke off the bolt part... wonderful
