Default 205/50/15 or 195/50/15 ?

-i'm deciding whether to get these tires or not, the problem with the 205 tire is that i'm afraid that it will rub because i have H&R race springs on my EM1. does anybody have the same setup as mine and sporting 205's tire? Thanks.

-Somebody selling the 195/50/15yokohama AVS es100 (4)brand new, has the stickers on it for $250 <<---- is this a good deal? or a Nitto NT450 205/50/15 same condition (brand new,4) $220.

Thanks For the response.

I rocked 205/50/15 azenis and es100's on my si on H&R race springs and its is VERY close to rubbing. As long as you and your passengers aren't 250+ lbs each you will be alright. Be prepared to get your fender liners ripped out though.

I would run the 195's if I were you. I don't really like 205's on civics....I think they look like a Super Swamper or somethin. I don't like Nitto either....even though Toyo owns Nitto, a love Toyo's, but the Nitto's are all hype. Yokohama ES100's seem to be a pretty decent tire, go with those.

Get the ES100s just because it's a better tire.

205/50 is the correct size...looks best IMO.

I have 205/50 azenis on one set of wheels and 195/50 T1S on my other wheels. Tires should be about grip anyways.

Rubbing has a lot to do with offset as well. If you have the correct offset, it shouldn't rub.

The es100s are horrible in my experience. They are hard, flexy, and they wear badly. AS for tire size, there are a couple factors to consider: weight, effective gearing, and rim size. If you have 15x6.5 (as most wheels are), you may prefer the 195s. This will have a sligthly lower gearing as the overall tire is smaller, the little bit less rubber does make a difference though, as every bit helps. The 205s are a little better suited to a 15x7 wheel, but I've ran them fine on 15x6.5 as well as many others. The actual size can vary by manufacturer and model, so beware of actual specs as well. If you are seriously consider the 450s and es100s, I guess my efforts are in vane, as both of those are crappy street tires. If you want any respect and performance, get descent tires, the Toyo T1s is available in both sizes and are very light weight, for street I'd suggest those. Sadly the older and superior AVS intermediates were discontinued, or I'd say get those. Those prices may seem cheap, but I'd wouldn't run those tires unless they were free. And then only for my commuter.

i wouldn't prefer the nitto 450. i have 205/40r/16 on my rota's and they have no grip in the rain and even dry roads, the handling sucks. i never experienced the yoko's, but i would go with yoko's.

if your car is too low or low enough, you are better off w/ 195
