Default purchasing an ef soon lotsa questions...please help

Hey all I am usually in the integra forum cuz that is what I currently drive. Due to a car wreck that I caused I am no longer able to afford insurance and car payments on my integra.

I am going to be looking for an ef hatchback and have a few questions.
My plans are to swap a jdm d15b into whatever model I get and then turbo the motor.

What model should I be looking for???

Is one model better/easier to perform this swap with?

Is a mpfi swap needed for all models on the ef?

Any parts I should start looking for to make the swap go easier?

I am purchasing the motor from hmotorsonline, Is their any other parts that will be needed that are not included?

I will convert to obd-1 so I need to get a conversion harness and an obd-1 ecu...does the motor from hmotors include all other needed obd-1 parts????

Thanks for the help in advance I have searched but I just feel like I'm not really sure what to be searching for as I am completely knew to these cars and motors.

Look for an Si or HF, they are already MPFI.
The swap would be stright forward on them.

I'd suggest an '89 Si Hatchback. It's already MPFI, and one of the lighter chassis. The only drawback is the smaller diameter clutch/FW (if you retain those parts) and the ECU is more difficult to chip than 90-91 (but you're going OBD1, so it doesn't matter).

Thanks for the quick replies. So I will start looking for an Si!!! Also I am going to get the tranny that comes with the swap. Her is a link with everything included in the package. http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...30019

These are all obd-1 parts correct? So what tranny will come with this so I can purchase a new clutch and flywheel???

Other then that I will just need to get 0bd-1 ecu and a converstion harness right????????? Everything should just be plug and play? Do I still have to wire for vtec? I think I read the a p28 ecu would be best is this correct???

You will need to use an 88-91 civic/crx transmission and match the clutch and flywheel to the transmission year. The hydro trans will not work in the ED chassis without a custom motor mount and hydraulic clutch actuation mechanism.

You will need the OBD1 ecu and a conversion harness and also will need to wire for VTEC

So the 88-91 tranny will bolt up to the d15b with no problems??? any custom work needed to get this to work???
