Just got my R repainted and need to know where exactly does the stickers go
So just put a fresh coat on my R and need to know where the stickers go on the sides. Any help would be great
the decals that are on the piece of paper are used to line up where the rear quarter panel is and the rear as well. The rear you have to line it up with the tail lights. You can easily figure it out, unless you bought decals that are not oem ones.
I have the instructions at home. I'll try to scan and post. But, as Kicker already stated, if they're OEM, the sticker should "line itself." And if they're not OEM, I'd strongly suggest getting some that are. My stickers have yet to show any fade at all after countless washes, sunlight, etc after 8 years.
Just curious...do the directions tell you to spray some sort of solution on the paint first before you mount the sticker so you can adjust it in case you get a wrinkle or it's crooked? Kind of like what you would with tinted windows...

Technically you can use a water and some soap combination for putting it on. You'll have to squeegy the water from underneath the sticker when you have it in the place you want it. BUT and a very big BUT is if it was water and soap mixture that my brother used before on his cars.... in the mid to late 90's he used to install stickers on windows and bodys of cars. I believe it was water only even with a flexible plastic piece to take the excess water from underneath the sticker. And it also depends on the glue solution that is on the sticker also. Not sure if the oem stickers are any different in the glue that they used on those sticker decals....
