I've never actually tried the Tilton hydro release bearing on anything besides a Tilton clutch but I would imagine that it would work. Again I don't know for sure but think about it this way. You can run a tilton clutch with the standard factory release bearing and input fork, as you can with 'most' aftermarket clutches (meaning that the geometry is pretty close to the same). When you switch to the hydro release bearing nothing else is modifed besides the master cylinder which may in itself have a different ratio but since you'll be using it too, that wouldn't matter. Now since it works with the Tilton, which can work with the factory system, shouldn't it work with another clutch that too takes on the same geometry? If it could work you would still need to make a pedal stop just as you do when you're running a Tilton. I don't know, I may be totally off on my thinking here but I would talk to Kirk at Tilton just to double check. Sorry for rambling, don't feel like doing homework right now!
Other than what Adam said the only problem I see with using the Tilton TO bearing with a non Tilton clutch would be the amount of "throw" the bearing has. My Tilton is SUPER sensitive and only has about a 1/4" of engagement/release area when using the stock setup. I am not sure but I think Tilton may have angineered their TO bearing to have a shorter "throw" so that you get stock like pedal travel when using their setup. Before I hade the Tilton TO bearing I could only move my pedal 1/4" before it engaged. I have yet to drive it with the whole Tilton setup but as it sits now it seems to have stock like pedal travel. I hope all this makes sense
