Another Bike Vs. Bike Poll
I can't decide which bike I like more... The new GSXR1000 or the 04' Repsol
I think im leaning towards the Repsol, however, the new Suzuki is damn nice too, i know a lot of you don't like the rear of it, or the blinker mirrors and whatnot, but they are totally functional, and i think its sick...
so...

both are incredibly nuts... have you tried sitting on both? whats more comfortable for you to ride? the black frame on the gsxr looks sweet, but the repsol looks amazing too, tough choice, either way, enjoy!
Oh man tough decision, but I really like the repsol 1000rr color scheme. The whole black/orange is HOT! But if the '05 gixxer 1000 came in the '04 gixxer 600 black/orange scheme, then I would totally get the gixxer.

Repsol charles, REPSOL.
That pipe on the gixxer looks like ***. Pipes are replaceable but the repsol is still sicker. Plus NO ONE has a repsol.

The Repsol bike is the shizznit....
but good luck actually getting one (at a reasonable price). Do you want to ride, or look snazzy? Gixxers are a dime a dozen, but they're good bikes. You're paying a lot for graphics on the 1000RR - my local dealer took delivery of two at the begining of this season: both were sold before they were even taken off the truck. That kind of market is going to demand a premium.
Don't forget that Suzuki has their 20th anniversary bikes out this year, too. They've got the 600 & 750 in their original 80's colors. While the 1000 isn't offered that way, they do have the Mladin Replica. What with Biaggi riding for Repsol and all this year I think I'd rather have a Mladin lookalike.

I am a honda guy when it comes to cars and bikes but that suzuki as bad a$$.
Not really a fan of the stock exhaust but that can easily be swapped out for a titanium high mount.
I have seen these new 05 gsxr 1000's in action and man are they fast. They run em against zx 12r's and hayabusa's and it is really the difference of the rider that determines the result of the race.
Also, a local guy took his out the first weekend he had it and was stuntin the hell out of it. Wheelies, endo's and figure 8 donuts. That bike took it like a champ right out of the box.
I have only seen one of the repsol 1000rr's on the road. It looks bada$$ but they guy wasnt really getting on it. Hell there were people with 600's pushing their bikes harder than he was.
If it's about looks buy yourself any one. Buy a set of rashed plastics off racer forums or whatever and have it custom painted.
Either way they are both friggen sweet!

Good god, I believe it.
The guy I'm buying my ZX6 from said he was riding his buddies ZX10 and powered it up in 3rd gear on the highway

MInd you...the 10 does 103-106 in first, so third could reasonably be around those speeds. The 10r is just scary. The kid has been riding forever and is just scared of turns becuase it will come out with any throttle application.
The ZX-10R is so very sweet. They have two at the dealership here one orange and one green.
But.. I they also had the Repsol 1000RR and it just looks amazing.
The Gixxer is just seems so-so to me, but I have never ridden one and it may be one of the most well engineered of the three.

I've haven't ridden the '05 Gixxer yet but I'm betting that it'll sweep the floor in the performance department. If all you care about is looks, you're better off with the Repsol. BTW, if you parked that anywhere in OC, it'd get jacked with the quickness.
