Default 95 Prelude H23->H22 swap - use H23 tranny?

I'm planning an H23 to H22 swap for my 95 Prelude. I'd like to save a little $$ by using the existing H23 tranny. Couple of questions:

1. Is this is a good idea? Does the H23 tranny bolt up to the H22 well? Does it work well in that combination?

2. Is it easier to pull both engine and tranny, then reinstall the tranny on the long block outside the car? Or should I separate them inside the car and pull the long block only?

Thanks in advance,

-Mark
