Default CTR Crank Pulley Thought...

After reading a few threads on the ctr crank pulley and the myriad of different opinions, i have this question for the "harmonic" experts.

If you smack a tuning fork on the table, then let it ring in your hand for a minute, then set it down on a rubber mat, what happens to the vibrations?

Now i know the CTR pulley has no rubber insert pressed in, but doesnt it have a rubber belt tightly attached to it at all times?

Just a thought.....

what i always wonder is how the CTR pulley seems to cause so many problems but the massive changes in flywheel weight seem to create no harmonic problems.
