Removing AC from the car

Default Removing AC from the car

Hey guys i need to remove my AC for something imma do to my car. SO iwas wondering if you guys know, if ther is a way to remoove the AC unit without bleeding the AC itself, because the Freon in it is very expensive and hard to come by.

i don't believe so, because it runs through the firewall. you could have it evacuated into a tank, if you're friends with someone who does that sort of thing.

Yep has to be evacuated. Take it to a garage or dealership to do it the right way or like one of my dumb friends did was he cut the line and let it bleed into the outside air (big fine if caught by the way). You have to do this because the evaporater is behind the dash which you have to take the lines off of.
