dont buy online when the item is so big as a hood. i bought a jsp carbon fiber hood from performance improvements and it is amazing! Vis is crap and most of the time does not fit good at all.

I bought VIS from Carbon Innovation, no problems, I use hood pins for safety but wasnt needed for fittment....depending on how picky you are/budget minded, I'd say its a pretty good deal

I'm not crazy picky, as long as it looks good and fitament is decent then its all good. I just wanted to know if they are real vis hood and the fitment was alright.

How much does FI charge for a CF hood?

Anyone see fading over the years?

Buying CF parts is always a gamble. Some fit fine, some don't. From what I've seen/heard, most people are happy with VIS/FI CF hoods.

IMO, I wouldn't buy it on Ebay. I would get it directly from the company and ask them about fitment. Like if it doesn't fit right, can you trade it for another one.

And about the fading, the clear coat will eventually fade after sitting in the sun for years. All you need is a fresh new layer of clear coat. It should be around $50 at your local body shop.

FI probably charges $400-500 for a new CF hood. I am not 100% sure though, someone correct me if I am wrong.

I got my CF hood from ebay, fits DECENT, would be better if my car hadn't been wrecked before I bought it!

But it looks nice, and the clear coat is already starting to fade a small bit, because my car is parked outside all the time-

But overall Im happy with it
