TODAY I AM INSTALLING MY JDM 4-1 HEADER AND RACING MEDALLION. IN BETWEEN EACH I AM FITTING A 2.5 INCH TEST PIPE. SO IT WILL BE HEADER-FLANGE-TEST PIPE-FLANGE-CAT BACK MEDALLION. I HAVE ODB2 AND AM GOING TO DO THE TIN FOIL, ZIP TIE TRICK. NO EMISSION LAWS IN MY TOWN SO I AM GOOD TO GO. RIGHT?

okay this is a good idea -- sorry but a test pipe really is bad, im not like a tree hugger or anything but i mean when u can help a little i mean why not? but a carsound cat -- almost as good as a test pipe.

 

Almost as good performance wise, LOTS better for the air we've gotta breathe, and will keep your car's interior from stinkin' like a refinery!

Watch the CAPS bro. I would get a carsound highflow cat instead of a testpipe. The little power is just not worth what it does to everything around it.

 

I'm running a test pipe right now only b/cI can't afford to get a high flow cat such as the car sound... and I'm not sure about what sizeto get since I haven't decided for or against a turbo and new exahaust.... no stink like many people complain about, but the back bumper does get blacker quicker. I do agree though, save up for the cat.
