So am i wrong when i read that h22 and h23 have the same blocks but are different heads so if i buy a h22 head will that be my difference and will i gain that power or is that not true?

the only things that are the same for the h22 and h23 are the bare block assemblies .. the internals are different and the heads are different, this speaking aside from bolt on parts like water pump and engine mounts , those are the same as well
but the h22 and h23 have different cranks rods and pistons nad different heads and different cams
