Need help wiring mini me swap!
I need to know what i need to do to get my car running. I have a d15b2 block (dpfi) and i have a d16z6 head. I have a pm6 ecu and a apexi vafc and i have been told that i can just use that to wire up vtec, but What do i need to do to get this running? pull harnesses or what. let me know thanks, ive been pondering this for about a month now and dont know what to do. I appreciate the help.
Your best bet is to run obd1 and the p28 ecu.

i would have done that if i didnt get rid of my p28, but im not spending 400 bucks on this when there is another way to do it. Thanks for the input, anybody else.
first thing to do would be to convert to mpfi. its super simple to do, that way your pm6 will run everything smoothly, then you will hook up the vafc to the vtec solenoid to activate vtec.
which intake manifold are you using?

My friend has the mini me setup yet doesn't want to do it by switch. He is thinking of wiring it to a tach with a shift light. Is that possible or is there an easier solution. He wants it to kick in by itself so he doesn't have to use a switch

He shouldn't use an 'actual' switch. He needs an RPM switch. It reads the car's RPM signal and shows power above a predefined RPM point.
FWIW, RPM switched VTEC will do no good without fuel/timing tuning to extract more power out of the larger cam lobes.

im planin to do the same thing too because my gasket is worn and needs to change and i might as well get a sohc vtec head to add a little more power.......will the p28 help the vtec engage without the switch or tach?.........and if this is said in one of the other topic then will you give me the site to get there.....
