Please help, B16a1 ECU flashing code 9
1990 civic lx 4dr with b16a1 and pr3 ECU,
The wireing was done very badly and was in need of massive trouble-shooting, so we just ripped everything out and re-wired it all the same way that we have done our previous 3 b16a1 swaps. With the bad wiring, the ECU was throwing 5 codes and now it only throws the code 3 ( bad map sensor) and code 9 ( No. 1 cylinder position). Since the wiring was the same as our previous swaps, it was throught that the distributor had a bad cyl pos sensor so a new dizzy was put on and it still throws a code 9. We will test the resistances in the circuit today, but I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what it may be? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, with the bad wiring, the owner was having problems with failing ECU's, could the circuit in the ECU be bad just for the cylinder position circuit? Please help!
Thanks,
ED6
