Just got new camera

I just bought a new Canon Digital Rebel SLR 6.3MP(i think)

i have the 18-55 lens, but I want to shoot some macro shots, do i need a different lens and if so which one, and what do they cost?

There is a macro mode on the camera (flower icon) which is what you'll use like any other cam. You don't need a dedicated macro lens necessarily.

two suggestions
1.play with the camera and learn the features before buying lens that you dont need.
2.read as much as you can on this board
