Default Tire Storage - How?

Friend got a set of tires he would want to use later, like a few years. How should it be storage?

Do you let the air out?

Do you lay them on the side?

Put some armor all on the side to protect the rubber?

I heard you need to put a woodboard inbetween the tires too?

Others?

Educate me.

Thanks

I'd clean them up a little with soap and water, put a little VHT or your other favorite stickem on them, and put them in their own individual garbage bag. You should be set after that.

... and yes, lay them on their sides. Otherwise, the tread may develop a flat spot.
