Default 2.25 piping ok for turbo setup?

i dynoed my car with 2.25 all straight piping with a CTR exhaust. my tuner said it'll be better if my car has an exhaust but i don't want to spend anymore money. but i want to free up some hp. my friend is hooking me up with his rsr exmag which is 2.25. would that be ok to run on or should i just save up for 3"?

kteller 3 inch piping. Its cheap and its 3 inch. I had 2.25, and itll just rob you of horsepower your car should be making.
