I could possibly get this turbo from an old talon.....it apparently will bolt up to an f22b, and i've been told that the manifold will bolt to the h23....just wondering if this is true. it's from a 91 auto talon so it's not beat up. any thoughts? will this work?

well a turbo only bolts up to a manifold with the correct flange . i dont really know my mitsubishis, but if i believe the eclipse and talon are the same thing, the 1st gen dsm is the t25, and the 2nd gen dsm is a 14b, which is suppose to be better than the t25 i believe . you will need to find a manifold with a t25 flange . and i believe the 1st gen manifold will bolt up to a h23, i dont think it will fit on a f22b1/2 because of the exhaust ports, but if you are talking about the f22b dohc, i dont really know about that .
but usually everyone always told me it was not worth it to run either turbos on a h23 because it was too small to work on the displacement of our motors and other characteristics involved . i am not a turbo guru or anything, so i couldnt tell you why that is, so you should try asking the people over at the forced induction forum . at one time, i thought about using the 14b turbo, but i could never find a positive answer that it would provide any positive results or gains, so i scrapped that project and decided to do a mild n/a setup . but the setup will work, so i guess you could try it out for yourself, i would like to see if it would provide any positive results or gains . good luck on whatever you decide to do

1g dsm comes with a 14b, t25 is 2g...14b is way better in quality, but t25 will spool a lot faster...both can be had for around 125 bux give or take...i have a 14b that needs an ex. housing laying around if you are interested. also, im not sure about the bolting up stuff, but if you go with the mitsu turbo, you can always do bolt on upgrades...you can get aftermarged mitsu turbos (16g, 20g, etc.) or other bolt on dsm turbos. hope this helps!
you have to redrill the middle bottom two bolt holes and the far lower left bolt hole on the manifold and it will bolt right up.. you still need alot more.. oil lines, engine management, charge piping, bov, gauges, injectors(i am using dsm as well..)..
the t25 and 14b are equal in "quality" both are a tad small.. I would never put a T25 on an h23... its waaay to small..
go with the 14b.
