Default LS dizzy for B16a1 engine??

So i know that a LS obd0 distributor will work for a B16a1 OBD0 distributor but with mod (cut leg by vtec sol). Does anyone have pictures of the LS dizzy on a B16 engine (w/ leg cut off)? I want to see and know how much i need to cut off, also to find out if i can get two bolts to fit with one leg cut off.

I heard that a CRX/ civic Si 88-91 dizzy will work too (w/ leg cut off), would it be the same as a LS dizzy OR be bad for the car (temp use only)?

TIA

i havent got the LS dizzy yet, just want to know what i need to do and see some pictures of what's involved.

I was thinking 90-91 LS dizzy, since they are obd 0 (like my b16a1 obd0).

Correct me if im wrong

Just cut the leg as close to the distributor casing as possible.

would it fit two bolt then for the LS distributor??
Im just worried that it would only fit one bolt (the top bolt).
Would the second bolt (closes to the firewall) bolt in too?

ya 90-91 ls dizzy will work with one ear cut off but be forewarned sometimes but not all times you end up with a small oil leak

yea, you just want to avoid having to rewire anything, cause thats un-needed and annoying.

if you really need a dizzy, distributor king has the exact obd0 dizzy for the b16a brand new, but its not exactly cheap.

just figured id throw that one out there. they also sponser this forum.

A d16a6 distributor will work on a B16a1...
I put one on a friends car just recently { for the time being...}

Cut off the front leg,and it will bolt up/start/run;
but to get the timing right
you have to do some cutting/grinding...

I hated to "butcher" a good distributor,
but it was to help out a friend..

I got a B16a dizzy for $180 cnd used and now the engine is boggin (misfire). Is this caused by the coil inside the distributor?

Did you set the timing after you installed the distributor?

yea, the timing has been set. I'm thinking it could be the vacum line (idle from 1k rpm to 200rpm).

I'll check it out.
