Default 86-88?? crx si for sale: how much should i pay?

hey new to the forums and somewhat to hondas, also. long story short, i have a 79 coupe deville and am going to college. with gas prices it costs 70 bucks to fill up a tank and with my driving it needs a fill up every week. i got the yacht a year ago thinkin i was going to live on a dorm and not really need to drive anymore. well looks like not so i need a gas sipper and my friend's family is selling a 85-88 crx si with 222,000 miles. it sounds good, no exhaust problems, engine runs nice from the outside at least, and only has a few apperance problems. dont know the exact year, i can get more details information if you need it. i know 88-91 crx si's are better but still, these people dont know that important difference in 88-91s to pre-88. so..i say offer 800-1000$ because itll pay for itself in gas.

thanks for any help in advance (its silver, lol)
