Fast Idle way too high (3K) missing vaccum line!
Hello. My fast idle is around 3K, warm idle is between 500 and 750. When removing the air cleaner to clean all the throttle linkages and stuff, I saw that I had two bad vaccuum lines and one missing hose!
The missing hose looks like it should attach to vaccum line 18 on the driver's side of the carb body. It is pointing down, and I can't find anywhere for it to connect to! There is full vaccuum on the line, but it is not connected to anything!
The car is ... 1988 Honda Accord LX Automatic, carbuerated, 214K, all stock.
I have the repair manual, but it doesn't give a scaled drawing, just the schematic which doesn't even show a route for vaccuum line 18. It appears as though it isw connected to the automatic choke ... becuase when I suck on it, the armature goes in and out.
Any help would be great ... thanks!

Eww, that's certainly not my specialty, and most of the guys in here have newer cars...
What I would suggest is one of two things.
1. Run to your local library and take a look at their huge ugly green Mitchell repair manuals. They usually don't let you take them, but you can make copies at least.
2. If that doesn't help call a dealorship and ask to talk to the shop. Those guys have talked me through a couple of major jams.
Hope this gives you somewhere to look. Carbs are not my cup of tea at all!
