Default can u guys help me out??

ok so let me get this straight....i was gonna go ahead and bore my b18c block to 84mm...i then would b able to have good tq and rev high....but then i got the idea of boring out an LS b18b block to 84mm to make it 2 liters this would defmake more power than bored out b18c because of the displacemnet...now i know that the best rod stroke ratio is 1.75 thats for high rev and good tq....i also know that the ls block was not ment to rev high like a gsr block..so what if i used the stronger b18c crank in the bored out b18b to get better rod stroke ratio??? what that jus defeat the purpose or what...help me out here..the head

b seris stroke lengths:
b18c 87.2mm
b18b 89.0mm

b series rod to stroke ratio
b18c 1.581
b18b 1.539

should i just keep the b18b crank because its is almost the same as the b18c....i just confused because y doesnt the b18 rev high like the b18c???

more displacement is better for tq but sux *** for high rev...am i correct???

boring out a b18c1 block to 84.5 is 2 liters, why do u say an LS block would have more displacement.

figure a LS block wol have a better displcement because of of its longer stroke which gives it all that high tq..aslo i was wondering since the rod to stroke ratios in the b18c to b18b is alsmost the same...can u rev the b18b hard like the b18c....the b18b i think has a longer rod which gives it all that low end power

i heard that the b20 block is not safe to rev high to like 9500 rpm....am i was told that the LS block would def be better...or should i jut bore the b18c to 84mm and call it a day...my things is that the LS bored to 84mm is gonna be like almost 1k cheaper to do...wont the LS out perform the b20 and be able o rev hgher wth almost the same amount of tq??

What will the car be used for? Drag, road racing... If you are revving that high regularly or for long periods of time, you should purchase a block girdle if you are not going to use your b18c. I have decided that my car will be FI one day, but I would use the b18c block. You already have it.

im using it as a daily driver...mainly street racing and some drag...u think that th bored out b18c will produce the same amount of tq that the b20 or b18b would?

Wouldn't changing the bore size change the bore x stoke ratio?

yes, but not the rod to stroke ratio

anyway, is there any real reason you want to rev up to 9500 RPM? a 2 liter revving up to 8000 should be enough
