Ok, I looked at the downpipe and have no way to connect it to the cat. What do I tell the muffler shop to do? how do I measure it so it fits perfect when i take it home? and how much will this cost approx?

1) Put the DP on your car (not hooked up to exhaust)
2) Drive to exhaust shop (don't get pulled over)
3) Say to them "Hook my DP up to my exhaust"
4) Pay (optional)
5) Drive Home.

You need to get a collector welded on. Probaly like $60?
And the downpipe might be a little crooked so you might need to add a flex in it. another $60

I went to pep boys today and saw their like cheap 5 dollar flex piping. If you were to weld this to the downpipe would you weld a flange to the downpipe first, then 2 flanges on each side of the flex pipe and bolt it up or just weld the flexpipe to the downpipe and then a flange on the side where the flex connects to the cat?
Cliff notes: which is easier?
1. dp(flange)----(flange)(weld)(flexpipe)(weld)(flange)----cat
or
2. dp(weld)(flexpipe)(weld)(flange)----cat

You cannot weld the cheap pepboys flexpipe to your exhaust.. you have to use clamps.
That stuff is so cheap and thin there is no way to weld it to exhaust piping. (I could probably TIG it, but I doub't it would hold for long)

Mine lasted quite a while. If it rips, it only costs $5 to fix it. Here's a pic:

Of course, I'm using this now:

Yeah, I did exactly what Dustin did before I could get it all welded together. I was even able to get them to weld a O2 bung for my second sensor, which is really nice because I didn't want to wire up the O2 simulator unless it was absolutely necessary.
BTW, I don't have a collector added onto my DP, just manifold->DP->Carsonic Cat->exhaust. Why do you need it?
Oh, and Dustin I figured out why I wasn't hitting full boost. I didn't have the screw on the top of my Greddy BOV screwed down enough.

Whatever happened to the 3" DP that Art was in the process of making a couple of weeks ago?
I understand completely on keeping the cost down. I thought there were at least 10 or more people interested. Come on people, you know you want a high quality 3" downpipe from Art...speak up, let's get a groupbuy going.
I like it art! What is up with the DP diameter changing? Is that for retaining AC? Maybe this summer I could buy one(full 3" though), but I am still buying parts to get my drag kit on my car the way I want it. No ghetto oil return, hondata, injectors, clutch, FPR...the list goes on......
Wonder if I could just try and sell my drag 3 DP....and put that toward buying yours.....hmmmm?
