i got a y8 head and hows the vtec solenoid actually activate? theres a green/white wire comin off it, so is it self grounded? and also, lookin at the head straight on with the solenoid in back, on the left and a lil down theres a hole with a gasket, somethin should screw into there.. what goes there?

the hole w/ gasket is for your oil pressure sender..if your talking about on the solenoid it'self.. what are you putting this head in???? the green wire is for vtec activation... i believe your right when you say it's self grounding. vtec activates when the ecu or a vtec controller of some type sends 12v to the solenoid continueous.
