Default tial wastegate test without car running?

Does anyone know the procedure for testing a tial with an air compressor and is this even possible?

You'll need a vacuum pump to test the wastegate.

does it have a gauge on it? if so, pump the gate up to the rated spring pressure and see if it opens.

I've never done it before, so I can't say. From intuition, I'd say it should start opening at the spring pressure.
