Project "Luxury Conversion" TONS of PICS
This is basically me pulling as much stuff off of my T-I thread for here.
When I first joined up here, I thought I was cool with my body kit and flashy red interior with a BIG aluminum wing on the rear. To this day I still think my car looked good that way except for the wing. Recently getting a job and not working for family anymore I am able to buy some things every week. My interior was red and chrome when I first started. Now I am trying to make it look as "Stock" as possible, but with everything from an ITR. I also picked up a new ITR Wing from spoilerdepot.com . And I am not trying to look like a Type-R though it may seem like it. I am wanting one thing in mind. A LUXURY CAR, as an Acura should be. I will be installing dynamat everywhere and in many layers. I will be cleaning everything and having it looking as nice as possible. I want to keep my car the same Black Mica, Blue metallic, but shave the side moldings in the future. I will be installing a 1998+ front and rear with a Wings West Type-W front lip, not sure what I will do on the rear yet or I may keep my body kit on it. I have a CF Climate control Piece on the way but there's still plenty of things I am going to need.
-1998+ OEM Front Bumper*PURCHASED*
-1998+ Wings West Type-W Urethane front lip*PURCHASED*
-1998+ Chrome Halo Headlights*PURCHASED*
-1998+ Clear or OEM Amber Bumper lenses*PURCHASED*
-1998+ Red Tails
-Type-R Spoiler *PURCHASED from SpolierDepot*
-2 Front fender liners in mint condition.
-3rd Brake light
-ITR CF Climate Controls *PURCHASED*
-ITR CF Driver's Side Vent
-The trim around the rear ashtray that holds the tray in itself.
-I am willing to trade my 1995 Tails plus a little cash for some mint 98's.
-I am willing to sell my 95 headlights once I have new ones or trade plus a little cash.
-Willing to trade my Imola-Red Valve cover plus a little bit for a mint JDM one (black or red)
-I have my R-1 Aluminum Adjustable wing for sale also if anyone wants it. It kind of has value to me though....make the right offer though and it can probably be yours.
I will have pics up of before, after and during.
This will be a stretched out project also since I am wanting to restore my car to factory condition and then some. I want it quiet on the inside, and smooth riding but firm ride. I don't know much about suspension combo's and set ups so any help with that is appreciated.

UPDATE
-March 21st, 2005
Got another 12sq feet of Dynamat. Went to do a little bit before work and was bent over in my trunk and I heard "SNAP!"...except it wasnt on my car....I fell to the garage floor and screamed for my mom. I told her it felt like theres a knife in my back and I couldn't move. She came out and thought I was exaggerating and tole me to come in and lay down if it was that bad. when I tried to move it popped again and then I started shaking and trembling from pain and couldnt move. So to the emergency room I went. Turns out the bones at the lowest part of your back aren't supposed to move near as much as I did and I tore the ligaments holding it together, and have a mildly herniated disc. I'm now on some painkillers and wont be doing anything for the next few days. But I did get about a 1sq ft piece laid in between the tail lights.

UPDATE
March 25th
Woke up at 12 in the day to the FedEX man dropping off my Mischief Dynasty DVD and my Type-R Wing. Went out to my car, popped the old holes and slapped the wing on. Fitment was near perfect and now it's going to get painted along with the trunk.

UPDATE
March 26th
..::3-26-2005::..
Was going to pick up a pint of paint today for the wing and use the left over to spray my blue interior pieces to the same black as the car, the my boss called me and I have to go to work , but then again that means more money. So paint for wing will be delayed a little bit. Also think I've found a 98+ Front and WW W-Type Lip for it. Just gotta get some headlights now.
-------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE
April 1st
Ok, the win has been painted and I'm going to pick it up tomorrow. Also my car is Labrador Black Pearl, not the stock color also. Chris also sprayed it with House of Kolor clear Coat so it should look very nice. I got the climate controls in and I hop I never have to do that again. I installed my 1" ACAutoTechnic Water Temp Adaptor and sensor, gauge is reading. I fixed my motor boggin problem with new wires. They are black and replaced my ugly yellow ones and now under the hood looks much much cleaner. Here are some pics. Wing pics should be up tomorrow. Along with the 2000 front end, its being painted now and I need some OEM Headlights, or a pair of CHROME housing halos.

---------------------------------------------------
UPDATE
April 2nd
Just ordered my headlights! I will use regular bulbs for a little bit and take pics and let you know. But I will be retro fitting some HID's in there.

Was driving last night and heard a grinding noise....A/C compressor bearing went out, cut the belt off today. Hoping to find a new one with clutch and pulley on it for a reasonable price.
------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE
April 3rd
I've decided I'm going to purchase a Greddy Turbo Kit + Intercooler after I'm done with all this other stuff. I've heard it's the closest bolt up kit I will get and be satisfied with and retain A/C and Power sterring (even though there is no A/C now. I washed my car today and took some good pics....I might post them later but I shaken right now from my dog having a seizure. Seems like ever since I've started this project bad things keep happening. But look for me having the Greddy Kit this coming winter...1/2 of each paycheck is going into a savings account from now until I quit working....even after the Greddy Kit.

UPDATE
April 3rd
One last wingless, pre 98+ front pic...

----------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE
April 4th
Got the ocnversion in today....even though the bumper has a crack and is not OEM I'm still satisfied. This won't break like fiberglass. Can't wait to get it painted and put it on.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE
April 7th
Headlights will arrive Monday along with clear corners. I will be slapping it all on to fit everything. I had to take money out of my Greddy Turbo Fund for the paint. So now the turbo fund is down to $100....
Hopefully I will have it buy December though. May even get a small loan to help out. Also the wing is done, but we dropped it in the parking lot, so we have to re spray it along with the bumper and lip. I'm ready for it to all be done. Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday it will all be complete....exterior anyway....
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE
April 8th
Picked up all my paint, primer, clear, plastic repair kit and all that today. Hoping to have the new front on by the 15th. The interior is also removed at this moment and will be sprayed with the front. Seems like this is costing more than expected. But in the end it will be worth it. But this also could have been $1,000 toward a turbo fund
The supplies

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE
April 9th
Had an off day today and got the wing sanded down last night and re-primered. I probably won't spray that until I do the front and lip. After that we are going to buff the entire car to make it look brand new. I also carpeted my box today and tried to make it look as good as I could. I need to fab some pieces up to covers the sides. I need more performance out of this car. I'm tired of it feeling so slow. I guess that's what its like after driving it nearly sock for a year. I guess I need to purchase a nice exhaust for the GReddy kit that will be going on sometime with in the next 365 days. Money is the only thing holding me back, probably the same with everyone else.
The carpeted box.

why would you buy halo's to cut them up and ruin all the parts putting in HID???
HID kit + Halo headlights in no way is expensive as OEM headlights
should have just got stock headlights and called it a day, but then again, you do have TWO STRUT BARS???

Why's that funny?
Rest of body kit is coming off too. I didn't install 2 strut bars on there. That was like that when I got the car. I am probably removing the one in the rear to either not have one and put the covers back on or getting a stiff one unlike that one. Rims will be changed but it will be one of the last things I do. I'm looking into a set of Volk 16's right now that I like alot. My car was ugly as ****....let me dig up a pic or too of what it used to be...
