when the car is on, when you step on the brake panel do you hear the little tick sound?

anyway, try to stick the key in the shift lock thing and see if you can lossen it up, it's locked just next to the shifter

Is the brake pedal very stiff?

Take off the plastic covering around the shifter. There is an indentation in the front on of it where you can stick something like a screwdriver in there, and lift the covering off. Stick the key in the little slot, and push down. Change the gear, and you're done.

It is said that this only happens when there is something wrong with the car, and should be taken in for service. One of my main fuses blew a while ago, and the car refused to start, so I had to do this method.

Sounds like you have a bad switch on the brake pedal. It sends the signal to the brake lights and the shift interlock solenoid.

i had the same problem, you have an exposed wire that keeps blowing your fuse. My breaklights and horn are on the same fuse and both didn't work. I am not sure if thats the same w/ ur model but if ur horn doesnt work, its ur fuse.
