Default gsr motor question.......

i know if you install the skunk2 intake mani it eliminates the butterfly valves and give you one crossover instead of two.....but my question is, if you kept a stock intake mani and ran a set of skunk 2 stage 2 cams and a few other valvetrain components, would the crossover points on the primaries and secondaries be signifigantly louder. I know tuning the car would eliminate such a hard crossover over and be alot smoother, but i guess what i'm trying to ask is, with a full skunk2 valvetrain would a gsr motor have two signifigantly loud crossover's?

I'm not sure exactly what your after here but the answer is yes. Unless you get rid of the butterflys you will hear them open and then the camlobes switch.

why do you care how loud your crossover is? and yes it is SIGNIFIGANTLY LOUDER. Im still running the stock manifold w/ jun 3's, jdm type-r pistons, P&P head.

Wouldn't really wanna do that.. ur better off bettering ur low end and mid range then doing what u want.. vtec is goin to be louder and much more *kick* in.. but i dont wanna feel it cause if u are then that means u could have been making WAY MORE POWER before it kicked in then what u were.. switch manifolds the gsr manifold is garbage..
