Coilover question 99 accord EX
Hi first post!
Anyway onto the question. I need to lower my 99 accord badly.
I'm told if I get lowering springs I also need to buy a camber kit (V6).
But I see these coilover's and they seem to do the same thing as springs just better.
If i got coilovers for my car would I still need t obuy a camber kit?
And if not can someone reccomend me some good coilovers (with a good price i'm gettin poor)
And how easy is it to install them?
Thanks for your help!

any suspension (height) modification you do will produce camber, you will need a camber kit so your tires wont bald fast. for a good slipover (u call them coilovers) get a brand called Ground Control. best there is. wut u are referring to is most likely slipovers. which is just springs that are adjustable. real, true, full coilovers are the springs and strut together, they run anywhere between 600-2500 ish. a good one i woudl reccommend for u is anything made by a brand called TEIN. Tein basic is perfect for a beginnger, around 600-700 bux. bad thing is about Tein basic is you cant adjust the dampening(stiffness) but you can get a upper model on Basic and move on to SS. which you can adjust the height adn stiffness of the ride. and of course you can adjust the height on the Tein Basic as well. good luck

ground controls are the best, but if youre REALLY tight on cash, id personally recommend cosmo racing evo2's.

Hey DirtMcGirt,
I just came on and saw your post about coilovers and all. I might have and answer for you with a nice set of coilovers that comes with
36-way adjustable dampening
Made from high quality 6061 Aluminum with T6 for increased hardness
Compression/Rebound adjustable
Adjustable spring perch for height adjustment
Adjustable body allowing maximum suspension travel
Pillow Ball Top Mount w/ adjustable camber (not available for some models)
Monotube High Pressure Design reduces oil leakage
Electroplated body for protection from corrosion and rust
One Year Limited Warranty
If you are interested in more info and pricing about it. You can contact me via email and this also goes for anyone else who is looking for real good coilovers with all these features, but at a more afordable price. I also have this setup on my 5 gen accord and people are coming to me asking about the setup and where they can get it. Anyway Have a good one and let me know what's up.
Creative!
PS. Below is a pic of how these coilovers look. Very Sexy I must say.
