Default orange county people, anybody know of santiago canyon?

i went riding today to explore the area and found a place called santiago canyon near irvine lake. i didn't get a chance to explore much further since i was running low on gas, but are there any good twisties up there? i googled it and couldn't find much other then a restaurant called cook's corner, where a lot of harleys seem to hang out

there's some twisties over there but on the right side of cook's corner (fork in the road) more like a rode you would see in initial d.

but yeah ever hear of the horror stories of black star, it's the street to the left of cook's corner, mostly straight aways but dont ride there at night, spooky shiz, from what i hear; my friend drove us over there, you can feel a bad vibe..

on a lighter note, i got my bike to work now, do you still go to ivc?

nevermind... i found some stuff on it.

it's only 11.5 miles though but it's sooo close to my place, i'm stoked... never realized this until i got bored and went riding aimlessly

ahh i think i went to the left at the fork, but the roads were only decent at best. good to hear the better stuff is on the other side. i'm gonna check it out tomorrow.
good to hear you're bike is working... what'd you have? cbr f2 right? yea, still going to ivc

I don't wanna thread jack so I won't go into the Black Star ****... yes it's scarey there and for good reasons. As for cooks corner... wear your gear. One of my newb buddies went down there and ended up in barbed wire. It's very slow so it's easy to lose the rear end with a bit too much throttle. Can't resist the approximity of the place tho.

Haha the infamous black star. Our senior year we got chassed by some lifted trucks for about 1 mile, luckily it's pitch black and we had the chance to lose them. On our way back we got pulled over by some crackhead cop that pulled his pistol out on us. You can tell he was scared as ****, cuz he had his gun up the entire time. Called us "you santa ana mexi-CANS and chinese people, go back to your city". Man, i have a grip of stories from there.

He low sided into a ditch with a barbed wire fence. It was a mess. As for black star.. from my experiences there about 10 years ago..

We used get into big groups and go there to psych eachother out and just hang out with the girls.

On one occassion, on the way back, we had 2 minivans and 1 car full of us and I was in the leading van. I saw a blonde chick with a white dress on standing by the side of the road. I was like.. "oh **** did you guys see that?" They said "No". And I was like, maybe I was just seeing things. And when we all got to the Denny's, we were all eating and stuff and one of the girls was like, "I never wanna go there again." I was laughing and asked sarcastically, "Why not?" And she said, "I saw a ghost on the way back but nobody else says they saw it." Right there, I got goose bumps all over and quietly asked, "Was it a blonde girls with a white dress on?" She immediately screamed soooo loud that the whole restaurant became quiet and she started to cry. Yea.. that was freaky.

On another occassion, a group of us went again and when we got to the cul de sac/park, everyone wanted to trek into the park but my gf at the time didn't want to go as we got closer to the gates. So, I said "ok then, lets just chill by the cars." Anyways.. it was a bright moon lit night and you could clearly see all the shadows. I heard the group's laughter getting further and further. I was leaning against a car w/my gf in front of me. While we were 'talking', I noticed something walking across the top of the shadow of a big tree that greats the entrance of the park. I asked, "Hey, did you see that?" And she said, "No, what'd you see?" I said, "I thought I a shadow of someone walking across the top of that tree." She was like, "Stop it!" Then.. after a few more minutes.. she was like, "Oh **** I just it walking on top!" We stood there hugging and waiting for rest of them to come back. Finally we heard them so we yelled for them to hurry up and they all ran and nobody knew what was going on but you could tell everyone was scared and they started to scatter into a car and we all took off. We even almost left someone behind. As we calmed down, my gf was like, "wtf was that?!" I said, "I dunno, but it looked like some guy walking on top of the tree." And she agreed. Weird ****.

Another time, a bunch of us guys got drunk and had 40oz w/us and we went to the cul de sac. 3 of us agreed to walk into the park and stupid me, I happen to agree w/2 Nike commercial athlete friends. We went over around the gate and started to walk in. As we got about 50yds into it, suddenly the temperature dropped like 10 or 20 degrees and it got cold. We looked at eachother and were, "Is it just me or are you guys cold right now?" All of us started to feel a bit scared by now and we sobered up real quick. Suddenly, the bushed started to shuffle intensely to our right and I started to scream and turned around. By then, these two track stars had already booked and I could see them hurdle over the gate. I thought I was gonna die. Like, when you see those horror flicks and you're trying to run away when something grabs you by the ankle and drags you in.

haha crazy...
its like that story of that swamp road on campus rd, between jamboree and university. supposedly if you drive through there late at night, if you look in your rear view mirror you'll see the ghost of some chick that died there years ago, sitting in your back seat

When I used to go to 'I' I used to take that road all the time. It's gets pretty foggy there sometimes and it's hardly used so it does get pretty creepy. Wouldn't want to ride through it at night when its foggy. I'd get the chills

I remember hearing on the news that some guys with their girlfriends were up there and the guys got beat up by some hispanics and raped the girls. The guys got caught thankfully

Yeah i remember the incident too. It happened couple of years ago. They were being followed from "The Block" and forced up to black star. Supposedly he was being hit with rocks and she was rapped. Something like that.

of the 4 people that we're on the news, i knew one of em. they ventured off to try and see the church on the black star trail road, they came back to their cars and found it all smashed up, windows and all. A car came by and asked them if they needed help, (prentended that they wanted to help) then turned around and started beating the guys to dead, they bashed my friend's head with a rock and took the girls to the lake near by, they we're going to shoot the guys, but decided it would "be a waste of a bullet" after they found their IDs (minors at the time)

crazy what this world comes too...

Yeah, have you seen the church in person? Damn, it's freaky man. Its built and shaped like a KKK hat or something. In the parking of that church gives me the goosebumps.

Are you talking about that church when you turn left off of Chapman towards the national park?

Nah man, that church is way deeper pass jamboree and pass those incoming toll roads. There's a point in blackstar where you'd have to decide to make a left or right. If you make a right and .5 miles later this chuch appears out of nowhere on the right hand side.
