your map sensor is located on your firewall next to the charcoal canister, (black cylinder on left side of firewall), unless relocated. the number 2 runner is refering to the part of the intake manifold that goes the the number 2 cylinder,( 4-3-2-1), or it is the only thing on your fuel rail that has a vacume hose on it. hope this helps.

Your car needs a map sensor to run properly. Otherwise you will constantly have a check engine light and the car will run crappy.

Or he could have a newer throttle body with the map sensor on the t/b. That is doubtful. You probably have it there, you just don't see it.

What is the error code for? Can you post pictures of you engine bay, the firewall, and the vacuum connections?

Save this picture then magnify it....

The hose goes into a TEE that has a plug in it...
One hose straight from the throttle body
to the map sensor will work just as well..

The Hayne's manual has actually has been proven to lower one's intelligence.

Anyways, which engine did you have in there? And, where did you get it if it isn't stock?

if emmisions doesnt matter to you, you can run with nothing BUT the map sensor and fpr, thats how i run my b16a currently.

the FPR needs vaccum, so run a line from the output of the manifold to the fpr. in this image here they use a t-fitting to go to the bullshit on the fire wall, really not needed. i just ran it straight to the fpr.

the map needs to to be connected as seen here: (the left on the firewall, you can ignore the right)

charcoal and dashpot you can ignore. make sure if you have that rare funky manifold pictured there that you plug up any un used openings in the manifold, like the one circled in red..

that being said, if youd like to have some hope of legally passing emissions and whatnot, follow that diagram.

"vacuum" hits 97 threads with archive checked in crx section, lots more info to be found there, thats how i got the info to finish mine.
